• GAY-INFORM / LESBOS LINE is a confidential service provided by the LGTB association of Madrid , free of charge except the standard phone rates (this is a local number, in Madrid, Spain).
  

• We answer more than 3000 calls from all around the world each year, from women and men who want to stay informed and care for any subject related to their sexual orientation or a close one’s. Our volunteers are helping an increasing number of youths come out of the closet .

• We also receive calls from people who feel isolated, in small villages, and for whom our phone represents a link to other lesbians, gay men or transexuals.

• Topics: Sexuality, HIV / AIDS and other STDs, health, associations, LGBT-related events, psychological and coming out support, legal questions, gay services (bars, accommodation, beaches, bookshops...) and whatever you want to ask.

In the Documents section you will find information (in Spanish) about other Spanish LGBT associations, civil marriage, HIV (and other STDs) testing resources, etc.

• The service is run by volunteers under continuous training, and who are advised by COGAM psychological, legal and health comissions.

• Everyone willing to collaborate is welcome. No previous experience is needed, just two spare hours a week (in the afternoon) and completing a training period. If you are interested in joining Gay-Inform, call us or meet us at one of our monthly meetings.

• Every Friday from 6 pm to 9 pm our service is especially directed to us, lesbians, and is run by lesbians. So, when we girls need extra empathy, we can be sure to hear another girl’s voice on LESBOS LINE , though anyone (woman or man) will be attended anyday.
